Catalan vocabulary, word by word
For children learning Catalan, and for little ones' first words. Over 1,300 words with a picture and a voice. They learn them by listening, reading, saying and writing, and each one comes back a few days later so it isn't forgotten.
Who it's for
Catalan as a new language
The same game for children who speak another language and want to learn this one: at school, at home, newly arrived.
First words
For the youngest, with an adult beside them: a picture and a voice to learn to name everyday things.
What they'll learn
It starts with everyday words — animals, food, the house, clothes — and climbs from there. The words are grouped into collections that fill up in the album.
- Wild animals
- Stories and fantasy
- Transport
- Clothes and accessories
- At the table
- Sports
- 50 collections in all
It starts at the right level
If they already know a bit, a ten-word test on the first day puts them at their level, so they don't repeat what they already know.
Four ways to play

If they can't read yet, the course works with listening and saying only: written words come in whenever you want. How it works →
How it sounds
A clear voice saying each word on its own, with no sentence around it.
Free or Premium
Free: one profile, three rounds a day and four collections. Premium: the whole course, up to five profiles and the other courses. Pricing →
Questions about the course
What age is it for?
It's designed for primary-school children. If they can't read yet, they can play just by listening and saying, and if a younger one plays, it's best with someone beside them.
What if we don't speak it at home?
You don't need to. The app picks what comes up each day and, when there's a decision to make, it brings it to you with a button in the adults area.
