Who it's for

French as a new language

For children who study it at school or are moving to a country where it's spoken. Each right answer shows the translation into English.

First words

For families who speak French at home: the youngest, with an adult beside them, learn to name everyday things with a picture and a voice.

What they'll learn

It starts with everyday words — animals, food, the house, clothes — and climbs from there. Every noun comes with its article (le chien, la maison), so they pick up whether it's masculine or feminine along the way. The words are grouped into collections that fill up in the album.

  • Wild animals
  • Stories and fantasy
  • Transport
  • Clothes and accessories
  • At the table
  • Sports
  • 50 collections in all

It starts at the right level

If they already know a bit, a ten-word test on the first day puts them at their level, so they don't repeat what they already know.

Questions about the course

What age is it for?

It's designed for primary-school children. If they can't read yet, they can play just by listening and saying, and if a younger one plays, it's best with someone beside them.

What if we don't speak it at home?

You don't need to. The app picks what comes up each day and, when there's a decision to make, it brings it to you with a button in the adults area.

Which French?

The French of France, with a single voice for every word.
